1910s 1920s Dark Blue Embroidered & Fringed Patch Pocket From Dress
This piece is about 9-1/2 inches wide and 9 inches long plus 2-1/2 inches of fringe along the bottom. It is a patch pocket that would have been sewn onto a dress or jacket. It's just the decorative front - not an entire pocket. Made of a very dark rayon (darker than photos) with silk backing. It has black rayon cord embroidery and looping design. On the back is very thins silk lining. Black rayon fringe along the bottom.
The front of the pocket with the embroidery and fringe is excellent, I see a single pin dot size holes. The silk backing is torn and shattering though and would need to be replaced.
