Era - late 1960s
Measurements - 32 inches long, fits 30 inch bust, 27 waist, 35 hips
Label - Clobber London
Fabric - wool knit

I checked out the label on the VFG and Clobber was a boutique in London from 1964-74 that featured clothing from many designers. This example is a red wool knit shift with no seam at waist. There is a fold of fabric on the front of the neck with a decorative button. The patches look like they were sewn on by the previous wearer - 1 is felt the two others are a cheap poly knit and the stitches around the edges are sloppy and would be easy to remove. They were put on for decoration, there are no holes or anything under them. The ends of the sleeves have been cut. Dress is unlined, has a metal zipper down the back.

Condition - Good condition. Those sleeves have been cut, need to be hemmed on ends. There is a 1/8 inch and a 1/4 inch hole on back. 1 inch slit on fold of hem on the front.

#ASV-867- Red Puffed Brocade Dress - $5.00

Era - 1950s
Measurements - 43 inches long, fits 37 inch bust, 30 inch waist, 39 hips
Label - Elinor Gay
Fabric - puffed rayon brocade with acetate lining

This dress is fitted with vertical darts, no seam at waist. It has a low square neckline on the back with bow. Fantail pleats on lower back of the skirt. Cute. Acetate lining, metal zipper down the back.

Condition - This dress originally was in very good condition, with just some slight creasing under arms. But then I decided to try to get out the creases. I was in a rush, not paying attention and I set the iron too high. It ended up melting some of the fabric under each arm a little One side has a few tiny holes in it and the lining inside got stiff and ripped. So the 'puff' is gone out of the fabric under the arms, plus the water that I sprayed on it left rings nder the arms. I'm really mad at myself.
