#BL-385- Taffeta full skirted dress with ribbon trim - $40.00

Era - 1950s
Measurements - 43 inches long, fits 33 inch bust, 25 waist, full hips.
Label - Gigi Young Originals
Fabric - rayon/acetate taffeta

Sweet dress with full swishy taffeta skirt. This dress has a square neckline that is trimmed with folded points of of ribbon. The ribbon also trims the ends of the 3/4 length seamless sleeves. There is no seam at the natural waist, but it is fitted with vertical seams. The waist is dropped and the skirt is super full from a bunch of gathers in the dropped waist. There is a layer of a thinner acetate under the outer layer of the skirt. The dress has a metal zipper down the back. The ends of the sleeves are a narrow 8-1/2 inches around. Condition - The dress is in good to very good condition, but it does have a few small holes. Most noticeable is the 1/4 inch hole right on the bust. It has been stitched by the previous wearer and there are 6 pin dot holes/picks near that hole. There is a 1/8 inch hole on the front of the sleeve, close to the underarm. There is a repair on the front and back of one underarm, and on the back of the other under arms. Those repairs are small and right on the seams.





#E-130- Black silk print dress set - $40.00

Label - none

Measurements - Jacket is 21 inches long, 16 shoulders, 18 sleeves, fits 39 inch bust, 33 waist.
Dress is 42 inches long, fits 37 inch bust, 32 waist, 42 hips.

Description - From the 1950s. Black silk dress and fitted jacket set with matching belt. The print is little white shaped that are kind of block heats, with dots and lines in blue and very dark pink. The dress has shirring on the front of the shoulders. Has darts at waist to give it some shape. Dress is unlined and has metal side zipper. Jacket is slightly fitted at the waist. Has fabric covered buttons and bound button holes. There is a narrow strip of velvet trim on the collar. Jacket is very nicely made on the inside. Lightweight and unlined. There is a matching fabric belt with silver buckle. The belt could go around the waist of the dress or the jacket.

Condition - Very good condition. The metal side zipper is corroded and doesn't close completely. It will need to be replaced.






#BL-429- Black dress with Floral sash tie - $55.00

Era - 1950s
Measurements - 43 inches long, fits 30 inch bust, 23 inch waist
Label - none
Fabric - linen-like rayon and voile skirt

Very cute but very small dress with full skirt and floral tie sahs attached at the waist. The bodice is the line-like rayon and the skirt is two layers of sheer fabric - the first is a cotton organdy and the top is like a voile. The under layer is shorter that the top layer. The skirt is fitted at the waist and it has a pink floral sash sewn across the front of the waist with long tails to tie on the back. Unlined, has metal zipper down the back.

Condition - Very good to excellent condition. Side seam and one shoulder seams have been repaired.





#BL-436- One shoulder chiffon dress - $70.00

Era - 1950s
Measurements - 41 inches long, fits 35 inch bust, 26 waist, 41 hips
Label - none
Fabric - chiffon over creped rayon

Great fitted dress with shapely vertical seams over the bust, waist and hips. It has one shoulder and the bodice is lined with boning for suppert. There are darts on the top of the bust and two seams across the center of bust. There is no seam at waist. has creped lining and metal back zipper.

Condition - Very good to excellent condition, chiffon has been stitched on the side under the arm.





#BL-437- Maurice Rentner Wide sleeved dress - $115.00

Era - late 1940s to early 50s
Measurements - 46 inches long, fits 36 inch bust, 27 waist, 42 hips
Label - Maurice Rentner Original
Fabric - creped rayon faille

Great black creped dress with fabric covered buttons at the front of the neckline and a cute little Peter Pan collar. It has wide bell shaped sleeves that drape fabulously. There is a section of smocking on the front if the waist and the skirt is full from small gathers into the waist. It has a metal side zipper, and the dress is unlined. Maurice Rentnor started designing in the early 1900s. In the 1930s he started the Fashion Originator's Guild. Bill Bass started designing for the company in the 1960s and he later bought it out.

Condition - Excellent condition, just has one button missing. Hem has been let down all of the way.
