| Dandelion Vintage Victorian & Edwardian Clothing - page 2 If you are buying these pieces to wear, they must be worn carefully, please keep in mind that they are 80 to 100 or more years old. Most of the items are all in good condition but please read the descriptions carefully for listed flaws. I cannot guarantee the wearability of older garments like these. I cannot predict how long they will hold up with wear. I think that most of the pieces are better for display. Era - late 1800s Measurements - 33 inches long, 16 inches across shoulders, 120+ inches around hem. Fits about 32 to 36 inch bust. Label - none Fabric - wool curls on cloth with satin lining Cleaning - Has not been cleaned. Heavy cape made of wool curls sewn onto fabric. 3 heavy hooks on the front with open lower edge. Narrow-looking fit from the front but it is fuller in the back with gathers of fabric on the back of the shoulders. Silk ribbons on the front of neck and on the shoulders. Lined in silk satin. Two inner pockets. Condition - Very good to excellent condition. Some splitting on the silk ribbons, wear along the tops of the inner pockets. Outside wool loops are excellent, lining is strong. Era - late 1800s Measurements - 7-1/2 x 8 inches. 12 inch feathers Label - none Fabric - straw Black straw topper hat with long brown feathers on the side. Has one pale lavender tie Condition - Fair, Feathers are broken and some are missing. Light fade. Some small breaks around edge of hat. Era - Teens to 1920s Measurements - 20 inches long, fits 34 inch bust Label - none Fabric - cotton Handmade camisole or corset cover. Wide cotton crochet band around the top that has remants of silk drawstring in it. Has 2 snaps on the back. Condition - Good condition. Has allover aging with 1 inch brown spot on the back. Elastic at waist is dried out. Some small breaks in the crochet at the base of straps. Item has not been cleaned, and was barely ironed. Era - late 1800s Measurements - Blouse is 18 inches long, 14 across shoulders, 24 inch long sleeves, fits 30 inch bust. Skirt is 40 inches long, 24 inch waist, full hips Label - none Fabric - cotton Cotton skirt and bodice in dark grey with black dots and pinstripes. The top has pleats down the front. No front closures, ot overlaps on the front and ties at the waist. Partial cotton lining. The full length skirt is fuller in the back. , black waistband with hook in the back. Condition - Set is in good condition. There is a large tear on the front shoulder of blouse and the fabric feels deliacte around the tear. The hem of the skirt is worn and frayed. There is a 2+ inch L-shaped tear in the skirt. There is another 2+ inch tear. Scattered holes and some thining of the fabric on the body of the skirt. Around the waist, just below the black waistband there are several 1 inch tears, about three 1 inch holes and thining of the fabric where the fabric is sheer and about to become more holes. Still it is a great collectible or display piece, but must be handled with care. Item has not been cleaned, and was barely ironed. Era - Teens Measurements - 19 inches long, fits 36 to 38 inch bust, 34 inches at waist Label - 36 Fabric - cotton Such a pretty and feminine blouse. Made of sheer, fine cotton. Neckline and end of sleeves are scalloped. Has fine cord design on the neck, waist and sleeves. Embroidered leaves and berries on front, waist and ends of sleeves too. Openwork line above sides of waist with tiny gathering. Has snap opening on the side of waist. There are embroidered holes on ends of sleeves and on the back of neck for ribbons. Condition - Has allover light aging, and some light brown down front-center. 1/4 inch hole on the front of the neck and three 1/8 inch holes on the upper back of shoulder. Item has not been cleaned, and was barely ironed. #VIC-240- Black Cotton Skirt - $30.00
Era - 1900s Measurements - 35 inches long, fits 25 inch waist, 42 inches wide at hips Label - none Fabric - cotton Black cotton skirt or petticoat with tie at waist. Has rasied topstitching lines around the bottom with slightly ruffle bias bottom. Unlined. Condition - Excellent condition, just has two 1/4 inch holes on each side of the back opening. Era - 1900s Measurements - fits 21 inch head. Brim is 3 to 6 inches wide. Label - none Fabric - cotton White and blue cotton bonned with wide brim. Brim narrows towards the back. Topstitching on brim, ruffled edges. Unlined. Condition - Excellent condition but white is aged and the ruffle at the back of the neck is slightly darker Item has not been cleaned, and was barely ironed. #VIC-256- Crochet Dickie - $8.00
Era - early 1900s-1920s Measurements - 14 x 11 inches Label - none, hand made Fabric - cotton crochet Ivory crochet dickie, to be pinned inside of a blouse or jacket at the shoulders and sides. Era - early 1900s Measurements - 52 inches long, 16 across shoulders, fits 34 inch bust, 48 inches wide at hips. Fabric - cotton Lauren from Posh Pig Vintage helped me again with this dress. It is an early 1900s work dress in a black and white floral print. The front of the dress overlaps and there is a tie attached on the back of the waist. There is a section inside that is white with the floral trim and that buttons to the waist. Long skirt with ruffled bottom. Unlined. Condition - Fair to Good condition, this dress saw alot of use which makes it even more interesting. The fabric is worn thin in several areas on the back and down the back of the sleeves. There are also several darning repairs on the back of the dress and on the sleeves. A large patch of black and white cotton paisley has been sewn onto the back of one elbow. The other sleeve has several large holes from being worn through on the elbow. There are some scattered tears on the dress. The fabric is worn and frayed on the end of the sleeves. Era - early 1900s Measurements - 38 inches long, fits 25 inch waist, full hips Fabric - linen Gored linen walking skirt with cotton waist band. Unlined, has opening that should have hooks. Condition - Very good condition. Hooks are missing and there are rust spotswhere the old hooks used to be. Lightly aged. Has scattered brown age spots. Two 1/2 inch holes near the opening and a 1/4 inch hole near the bottom of the skirt. This item has not been cleaned. Era - early 1900s Measurements - 19 inches long, 13 inch shoulders, 23 sleeves, fits 34 inch bust Label - none Fabric - silk taffeta Cleaning - This item has not been cleaned because of it's delicate condition. It shows no dirt and it has no smells. Dark green irredescent silk taffeta with black undertone. This blouse has black cotton lining that hooks down the front and an ivory silk dickie with embroidery that hooks in the shoulder. The green then overlaps and hooks at waist. Rayon flatbraid trims. Has been altered from it's original design. Condition - Fair. The ivory silk embroidered piece is shattered and falling apart. There is shattereing on one sleeve. There were gathers in the waist which have been removed, leaving behind marks all the waist around the waist of the blouse. #VL-19- Rectangle Black Silk Scarf - $30.00
