Dandelion Vintage - Victorian & Edwardian Clothing - page 4 If you are buying these pieces to wear, they must be worn carefully, please keep in mind that they are 80 to 100 or more years old. Most of the items are all in good condition but please read the descriptions carefully for listed flaws. I cannot guarantee the wearability of older garments like these. I cannot predict how long they will hold up with wear. I think that most of the pieces are better for display. Click images for close up pictures #VIC-272- Cotton Skirt with Brown Circles - $40.00

There are snaps around the inside of the waist to attach to a blouse. Wide hem, lightweight and slightly sheer. Condition - Very good condition. Light allover aging because I didn't want to soak it too long for fear of fading the circles. Two brown 1 inch age spots on front. Has about 6 scattered holes, under 1/4 inch. Era - late Teens Measurements - 49 inches long, fits 36 inch bust, 28 waist, 46 inches wide at hips Label - none Fabric - rayon lace with silk and rayon lining Cleaning - Because of the age of this dress it has not been cleaned Yummy! Black lace dress with full sheer lace sleeves. Has satin underdress and sheer under the shoulders. Satin gathered band across the front of the waist. The sleeves are attached in the back and open on the front. They are a square, with a hanging rectangle. The sleeves drape nicely down the sides. There is a sheer lining inside that has a band that hooks at the waist. This dress has a ton of snaps. There are snaps across the lace on the shoulder, then the sating under dress snaps to the sheer underlayer and then it snaps down the side. The side of the lace then snaps too and so does the sash. Not a dress to get in and out of quickly. Condition - Excellent condition. The previous owner had handsticthed a hideous crochet thing on the front of the waist sash and I removed that. This has left behind tiny stitch holes in the satin. But because of the gathers in the sash they aren't too noticeable. There is a 1 inch tear on the edge of the hem. Otherwise I see no holes in the lace, there are bound to be a few tiny breaks though. Silk bodice lining and silk satin lining are in excellent condition too. Era - late Teens to early 1920s Measurements - 46 inches long, fits 38 inch bust, 37 waist Label - none Fabric - rayon crepe Cleaning - Because of the age of this dress it has not been cleaned Great black dress with sheer sleeves and strips of hanging fabric. The strips start a few inches above the waist and hang the length of the skirt. There is beading at the top and the bottom of each strip. The sleeves are sheer creped chiffon. They each have 3 strips of fabric hanging down the tops of them, with more beading. Dress is unlined, opens with snaps at the shoulder. Condition - Good condition. Has fade in small area under both arms. There are several small holes on the upper back of dress. This area would need to be reinforced before wearing. There are scattered pin dot holes on the dress and a few up to 1/4 inch. These are mostly only seen when you hold the dress to the light. One sheer sleeve has about 10 half-inch holes. The other sleeves has about ten 1/4 inch holes. Some loose and missing beading on the front emblem on the waist. Overall it is a great dress. Should be sound enough to wear after reinforcing the upper-back. Holes in sleeves are mainly near the upper parts of arms and are mostly covered by the strips of fabric. Era - 1800s Measurements - 37 inches long, fits 24 inch waist, 42 inches wide at hips Label - none Fabric - silk moire Cleaning - Because of the age and delicate condition of this item, it has not been cleaned Black silk moire skirt with 2 rows of ruffled silk around the bottom. Someone has inserted a metal zipper on the back of the waist at some time and there is a label inside 'Estelle M. Crane' so I am guessing that this was used in theater. In searching online for Estelle Crane, I found someone by that name involved in the Barn Theater in Monteville NJ. An award is presented in her name at the Theater. Anyway, it is still an authentic Victorian skirt, just slightly modernized with a metal zipper. It has brown cotton lining. Condition - Very good condition. The body of the skirt is strong and sturdy. On the back of the waist, next to each side of the zipper, the fabric is very worn and frayed, and has had some small repairs. This should be reinforced and neatened up for wearing. Slight wear and fraying about 1 inch down from the waist too, along the zipper.
