Fine white cotton baby dress from the early 1900s. It has all been hand sewn together and some of the mebroidery is hand done. Inset lace on the top with hand stitched French knots and pin tucks. Ivory silk ribbon goes through trim around the upper chest and hand in a bow with long tails down the front.
Inset lace and sections of embroidered cotton down the front and the back of the gown. Wide ruffle cotton round the bottom with pretty floral embroidery. The gown has 2 fabric covered buttons on the back opening. Some time letters embroidered in red on the inside.
CONDITION - The gown is in excellent condition. It has been lightly hand washed, it's not a bright white because I didn't want to use bleach. So it is very lightly off white. There are a few faint, small age spots.
The silk ribbon that hangs down the front is splitting and delicate.
