This lot of newspaper clippings came from the home of a commercial artist here in NJ. He had many folders with clippings from newspapers and magazines of ads for inspiration and trend watching for his own work. These were 3 of the older folders that I found with clippings dated mostly from 1941 to 1946. 160+ pieces.
There is a folder with clipping of jewelry, one of furniture and one of household items like small furniture, decor and appliances. The bulk of the clippings are of furniture.
Some are small clippings, some are the full page. Most look to be from the Philadelphia Inquirer. They are all folded and each 3 file folders.
Very interesting images and ads of household items of the 1940s, plus you have stories, movie ads and other advertising on the backs of the pages.
For inspiration, education or crafts.
All of the ads are aged and they need to be handled carefully when you unfold them.
Boxed, these clippings will weigh 2 pounds.
