This is a large scrapbook put together mainly in the 1920s to 1930s, with a few pages from 1940.
It is 14-1/2 x 11-1/2. There are 34 pages in the book with cut outs from magazines glued on both sides of each page and on the inner covers. Plus a few extra items just setting in the book.
Included are 37 Kewpieville pages by Rose O'Neill from the mid to late 1920s.
2 pages with a story about Walt Disney, several pages of Disney comics called 'Silly Symphony' and 2 others with Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck and Pluto - those are all from 1930s Good Housekeeping magazines.
There is a several pages story 'A Preview of Pinocchio by Walt Disney' which is probably from 1940 when it was released (those pages are just sitting in the scrapbook, they are not glued in)
There are 3 pages of 'The Gimmicks by Lou Rogers'
4 pages of the Dionne Quintuplets and a 2 pages insert of a newspaper with the Quintuplets at Christmas from 1935
Plus an assortment of other illustrated stories for children are included in this scrapbook.
72+ pages with images on each side from magazine. Most, like the Kewpieville ones are the full page from the magazine with just a little cut from the edge, some are smaller cuts, some have a few different stories or images on each page. Some excellent children's story illustrations from the 1920s and 1930s.
The scrapbook itself is in poor condition. The pages are all broken away from the ring spine. The edges of the scrapbook pages are dry, brittle and breaking.
But the magazine images and pages are very good, not dry. I would just cut away the old paper backing to use the illustrations.
The newspaper story of the Dionne Quintuplets at Christmas is torn and very delicate.
