Antique Dress Remnants, 7 Pieces of Stiff Black Linen, Victorian Skirt Lining
This lot is 7 pieces of a stiff black fabric, probably linen, maybe a finer buckrum. It looks like the top of fabric that was used to line the hems of Victorian skirts to give them some stiffness and fullness around the bottoms.
The pieces are each about 7-8 inches long by 16 to 23 inches wide.
They are in very good condition, some have old thread on them, some have very light fade or aging.
