LABEL: hand made
Very fine black cotton thread, handmade lace fingerless gloves. Small note of provenance 'Black mittens worn by Susan Beebe Marshall' 1825 - 1884. It also notes that she died in Pittsburgh and was brought back to New Jersey for burial.
CONDITION: They are in very good condition. Not recommended for wear, this should be a collectible piece. The thread is too fine to be taken on and off. There are some breaks in the threads and a 1 inch tear along the top of one gloves.
