Vintage 1920s Black Silk Floral Fabric Scarf, Iris Jacquard, 39 x 64 inches, fade, holes

MEASUREMENTS: The fabric is 44 inches wide by 64 inches long
MATERIAL: silk jacquard
This piece is a black on black jacquard weave of irises on a matte satin silk. Selvedge edges are original finish. The cut ends have been stitched to give a tiny pique finish. Two darts have been stitched on one side of the fabric as if to form a slight shape that would fall at the back of your neck, if you wore it as a shawl. Unlined.

CONDITION: Fair to good condition. The piece has multiple small holes at 1/8 inch each. There is a 2 inch narrow hole and 1/2 inch hole and a few holes around 1/4+ inch in size, scattered over the piece. There is a 12 inch brownish faded area with some smaller areas of fade from 1 to 4 inches in size. The two darts are tearing, one is nearly completely torn.
Still the fabric feels sound.
