Vintage Girl's Red Striped Cotton Stockings, 1900s Edwardian, with issues

ERA: True vintage item from the early 1900s
MEASUREMENTS: 6 inch foot, 15-1/2 inches long from top to curve of heel
MATERIAL: cotton knit

CLEANING: lightly hand washed to remove surface dust but not to remove stains
Cute pair of fine knit cotton stockings with red stripes, blue embroidery around the middle. Seams down the back.
CONDITION: Fair condition. Obvious brown stains on the feet. Off white from age. There are several holes down the back seam - 1/8 to 1/2 inch. Small 1/8 inch on foot. I didn't want to soak the stockings to remove the browning, I was worried about fading the red.
