Vintage Women's Motorcycle Gloves, 1930s 1940s, Gauntlets, Driving, Flying, Small

ERA: True vintage item from the 1930s to early 1940s
MEASUREMENTS: The gloves are 12 inches long. Middle finger is 2-3/4 inches long. Fits a women's small size 6, snug on a size 6-1/2
LABEL: none

Very cool lady's vintage leather gloves for motorcycle or driving. Wide, stiff cuff with side gusset. Black leather hands have light topstitching and thick cotton fleece lining. Strap across the tops with 2 brass snaps cut with design on tops. The back of the snaps are marked 'C. F. Co - U.S.F.' and 'Pat Feb 17, 1903" (The Carr Fastener Co and the United States Fastener Co. merged in 1929, eventually becoming United Carr)

The gloves are unmarked, no size, no maker. My hand in photos is a size 6-1/2, the gloves are a little tight and short in the middle 3 fingers, due to the lining. They may loosen up with wearing.

CONDITION: The gloves are in very good condition. Nice patina and aging on the leather with some wear. There is a narrow 1 inch white scrape in the leather on the left hand glove and another in the leather of the cuff on the same glove - see photos.
Patina on snaps. The lining is aged, very good condition.
