Vintage 1910s Black Silk Velvet Hat with Wide Brim & Feathers, with issues, 16 inches wide, 22 inch head, M.L. Rogowski Paterson NJ

16 inches wide, black silk velvet hat on crown and underside of the brim. Stiff lining around the sides of the crown and the fabric on the top is soft with black silk satin lining. There are long black feathers around the front and the sides hat that appears to have been added. Woven ribbon band around the hat with bow under the feathers.

CONDITION: The hat is in good condition with issues. The velvet is worn bald on the underside of the brim around the back. Also worn off the edges of the brim and around the top edge of the crown. The wire inside the edge of the brim is popping out in several inch areas around the edge. Glue residue on the lining inside of the hat.

The feathers are old, but they look like they may have been added. The feathers are a bit long in the front. I'll leave it to the buyer to remove or keep, maybe trim.

Because the hat is very wide, it will require an oversized box to ship it. This could make the shipping costly.
