Vintage 1930s Appliques Cloche Hat, Cream Fabric with Flowers, Peerless, issues

ERA: True vintage hat from the late 1920s to early 1930s
MEASUREMENTS: The hat will fit a 21 inch head
MATERIAL: silk and fine gauze
LABEL: 'Peerless'
Close fitting soft bodied fabric hat. The outside is a sheer, fine gauze over another fabric. Stitched lines allover the hat. The underside of the brim is silk. The brim is folded u in the front, showing the silk underside. The brim is down on the sides and the back with a wide bow across the back. Floral appliques across the front with gold metallic edges and thin gauze over them. There is a woven silk applique on the front of the hat. It looks like it covers another flower applique. I don't know why the flower applique has been covered, maybe it is damaged. Rayon taffeta lining handstitched inside.

CONDITION: The hat is in good condition. The silk fabric on the underside of the brim is worn with some splitting and some loose thready areas. The silk on the band and the bow also have wear and fraying to the silk. The mesh covering on some of the flower appliques have wear with some of the mesh missing. The taffeta lining inside may be a replacement. The label is silk and has several splits.
