BROKEN Vintage Mermaid Kreiss Marblelite, Toothbrush Holder Vanity Dish

This is the base of a vintage mermaid vanity piece, either a toothbrush holder or a dish for trinkets or soap. The top piece has broken off. The base is white and grey marble porcelain with gold details. Little mermaid sits on one side.
Stamped 'Kreiss Marbelite' on the bottom with a paper 'Japan' label.
She is about 2-1/2 inches tall and the round base is 3-1/2 inches across.
Hopefully someone creative can use this piece in some way.

What's left of the piece is in good condition. The broken section on the top is rough around the edges.
