CONDITION: The set is in very good condition for it's age. It doesn't have noticeable issues. The fabric is sound with some minor splits in the silk. I would recommend this dress be for collecting or display only and not be worn.
The blouse is in very good condition. There was a lace collar that I removed due to damage. The fabric is worn off of the centers of the buttons down the front. There are some tiny splits in the silk on the front of the neck. It looks like the buttons were once further left - there are old stitch marks from where they were originally. There is some fraying and stitching coming undone on some of the solid trim. There is no hook or closure on the waist band, there are multiple tiny pin holes as if the waistband were pinned in place. There is a perspiration stain under both arms. There are several small splits in the silk on the front of the blouse. Scattered spots and small stains on the front and the back of the blouse. The side seams were let out, leaving behind marks and a few splits in the silk. There is a 1-1/2 inch split in the silk on the underside of one sleeve.
The skirt is very good. Some of the solid trim is fraying and coming unsewn in several areas. There are scattered stain on the dress including a spill-like stain down the front of the skirt and another on the back of the skirt. There are several holes in the wool trim along the bottom edge of the skirt.
