Vintage 1940s Black Satin Strapless Dress with Jacket, Draped Rayon, 36 bust

ERA: True vintage item from the 1940s
MEASUREMENTS: the dress is 41 inches long, 34 inches around the top of the dress. My mannequin is a 34B bust size and this dress fits around the top but the bust itself is about 2 inches bigger, so the bust area itself would fit about 35-36 inch bust. 29-1/2 inch waist, 38 inches around hips.

The jacket is 15 inches long, fits 36 inch bust, the shoulders are 16 inches wide and sleeves are 17 inches long

CLEANING: Dry cleaned
Black midweight rayon satin strapless dress with folded fabric around the top. Boning in the bodice to support the bust. The front of the skirt has gathers and draping. Metal zipper down the back. There are 2 short straps inside, but I believe those are for hanging.
The cropped jacket has fabric covered buttons with loops on the front. Folds of fabric on the fronts of the shoulders and 3/4 length sleeves with cuffs. Both pieces are unlined.

CONDITION: The set is in excellent condition. No flaws seen.
