Vintage 1940s Dark Blue Suit with Rayon Cord & Beads, Evening, Open Jacket, Flared Skirt, 38 bust, 28 waist

ERA: True vintage item from the late 1940s to early 1950s
MEASUREMENTS: the jacket is 22 inches long, it will fit a 38 inch bust with room. Shoulders are 17 inches wide and sleeves are 23 inches long.
The skirt is 34 inches long, 28 inch waist, 39 inch hips
MATERIAL: wool, rayon cord, beads
LABEL: 'Forstmann 100% Virgin Wool'
CLEANING: Dry cleaned
Great evening or special occasion suit in a dark blue wool. Open front jacket with shoulder pas, come to just below the waist. Wide sleeves with cuffs. Webbing design made of dark blue shiny rayon cord with groups of dark blue beads at the intersections of the cord. On the collar and over the shoulders and upper back. Jacket is lined in rayon faille.
The A-line skirt with fuller bottom has 4 triangle section with more rayon cord and beads. Metal side zipper, the skirt is unlined.
CONDITION: The jacket is in excellent condition. The skirt is in excellent condition except for a 1/8 inch hole on the front of the waistband.
