Excellent original black and white photo postcard of 'Fishing at Corson's Inlet, Sea Isle City NJ' This area at the north of the island with Sea Isle City was originally called 'Corson's Inlet before it was renamed Strathmere around 1909. The photo is of the Whelen Hotel, built on the bay in the 1880s. This is the early, smaller version of the building before it was enlarged in the early 1900s. It was renamed the Deauville Inn in the late 1920s. Postmarked from Sea Isle City in 1908.
CONDITION: The postcard is in very good condition, light aging and very light wear.
