ERA: True vintage hat from the 1950s to 1960s

MEASUREMENTS: The hat will fit a 20-1/2 inch head

MATERIAL: 85% wool, 15% nylon, according to label

LABEL: 'WPL 285, 85% wool, 15% nylon, X-SMALL' 

 

Vintage red woven wool baseball cape with white felt 'C' on the front. I'm guessing it to be an XS adult, it's smaller than the average woman's hat size. 6 sections with a metal ogrommet on each. Green fabric on the underside of the brim and white cotton inner band. and along the seams. Loose woven white cotton fabric in the two front sections. Section of elastic at the back of the neck. 

 

CONDITION: The hat is in good condition with issues. The outside looks good, the C is aged or dirty. The hat has a light dirty look to it allover, but I don't see any holes. The inside is dirty all the way around the band, especially in the front. The fabric in the upper part of the hat is also dirty. Some light stains on the green fabric lining the brim.
