Has a peplum that angles longer on one side with a tail of fabric hanging down the side. Metal side zipper, unlined. Condition - Excellent condition, no flaws seen. It has a big shawl collar that is velvet trimmed in rayon braid. Has belt with velvet front. Metal side zipper, unlined. Condition - Excellent condition, no flaws seen on dress. Velvet on the front of the belt is lightly faded. Nice full, floorlength black taffeta skirt. Unlined, metal side zipper. Condition - Excellent condition, no flaws seen. Click for more images #40-937- Sheer Black Chiffon Gown w/Ecru Lace Top - $165.00 Era - 1940s Measurements - 55 inches long, fits 35 inch bust, 26 waist, full bias cut hips Label - none Fabric - rayon chiffon I'm panting like a puppy over this dress! Very pretty dress with sheer ecru lace top and sheer black chiffon full skirt. The top is ecru lace lined in black tulle. It has v-neck and tulip sleeves. Full bias cut skirt. Dress has a metal side zipper and it is unlined. Condition - Gown is in very good to excellent condition. There are two 1 inch holes on lower back of skirt with four 1/4 inch holes nearby. They aren't very notiecable because of the fullness of the fabric. Label - none Fabric - rayon taffeta Cleaning - Dry cleaned Great floorlength gown in a plummy metallic purple with black flocked flowers. There are two fabric flower shapes on the neckline, matching belt with bow. The skirt is full from pleats in the waist. Skirt is lined in black taffeta backing and a short layer of tulle around the hips for some light lift. Metal zipper down the back. Condition - Excellent condition, no flaws seen. Close up #5 \ Close up #6 #40-418- Two Piece Beaded Black Crepe Dress - $60.00 Era - 1940s Measurements - Dress is 40 inches long, fits 32 inch bust, 24 waist, 33 hips. Top is 22 inches long Label - Oppenheim Collins Fabric - rayon crepe Cleaning - dry cleaned This two piece set consists of a dress with acetate tank top and crepe skirt with a longer length top also made f crepe. Overtop has pearls and metalic braid on the collar and the cuffs. A few tiny gathers on the side seams in the waist area. Metal side zipper on dress and overtop. Both pieces are unlined. Oppenheim Collins was a ladies clothing store in NYC. Condition - Very good condition. The braid is real metal and it has a turquoise age patina on it. The patina is heavier and slightly dusty in some areas, especially on the cuffs. The black on the cuffs is a little dull, but it's probably more from dust from the metal patina than from fade. Look at the last pohoto linked above - the turquoise that you see is the patina aging on the gold metallic. Paint is pealing off of the faux pearls. Otherwise the dress is in excellent condition. Close up #5 \ Close up #6 #40-441- Blue and White Hostess Gown - $25.00 Era - 1940s Measurements - 53 inches long, fits 38 inch bust, 34 waist, 52 hips Label - none Fabric - rayon challis Cleaning - has been handwashed Kind of a soft chabray-like challis in white and light blue, Hostess gown or housedress with buttons to waist and tie belt. Long skirt is slightly fuller at bottom. Condition - Good condition. Has a light wash-n-wear look to it with some small light stains. There is a several inch repair under one arm - as shown in photo and the other arm need the underarm seam resewn in a 4 inch area. Close up #5 \ Close up #5 \ Close up #6 #L-354- Burgundy Rayon Satin Dressing Gown - $45.00 Era - 1940s Measurements - 53 inches long, 16 inches across shoulders, 19 inch long sleeves. Fits 38 inch bust, 29 waist, full hips Label - none Fabric - rayon satin Cleaning - has been hand washed and hung to dry Long burgundy rayon satin robe with fabric covered buttons on the bodice and metal zipper hidden in the front of the full skirt. Quilted collar and quilted cuffs on the sleeves. Skirt has a nice full sweep. Condition - Very good condition. Very light fade in area along the back of the hem. Light allover wear. Tiny set in creases in the satin - it needs a patient ironer to get the wrinkles out. #40-365- Peach Silk Slip w/Drawnwork Pointed Flowers - $38.00 Era - 1940s Measurements - 42 inches long, fits 42 inch bust, 40 inch waist, 50 inches wide at bias cut hips Label - none Fabric - silk Cleaning - Item has been hand washed and hung to dry This very pretty peach silk slip is entirely hand sewn and embroidered with very pretty details. Bias cut light peach silk. The straps do NOT adjust and the length listed above is from the top of shoulder. It has 6 petal flowers with tiny drawnwork details and embroidered leaves and stems. Also a few teeny eyelets. Condition - Excellent condition, no flaws seen. #SLIP-866- Rhythm Lingerie sz38 Black Rayon Full Slip - $48.00 Era - 1940-50s Measurements - 36 inches long down the sides, fits 38 inch bust, 32 waist, 42 hips. Label - Rhythm Lingerie sz38 Fabric - rayon satin Cleaning - Has been machine washed and dried Black bias cut rayon satin full slip with 2 inch wide lace at bust and hem. Gathered cups, inset band under bust. Condition - Excellent condition, no flaws seen.
